I have been totally neglecting my blog the last 3 weeks! Life has been so busy...
HUBS IS HOME!!
He had pull-in duty so I missed the madness at the pier. We were lucky enough to have our own private homecoming the next day with the pier all to ourselves.
Amazing.
We also had Little Miss's birthday party. That is a whole other blog post, I want to share the last of the DIY tutorials (goodie bags) and pictures from the party!
We are also dealing with reintegration. I am happy to report we are doing much better than last time. We learned alot from our first reintegration, we mostly learned what NOT to do actually LOL. I made sure not to overplan our days and be as flexible as possible. If things don't go as planned, meh it happens. My words of advise: Be easygoing, don't sweat the small stuff, and communicate. If I need Hubs to do something, I honestly have to spell it out for him. He wasn't a mind reader before deployment and he sure isn't one now! He has been gone 15 out of the last 22 months. While I would love for him to anticipate what I need done around the house or what I need help with, he honestly hasn't been around enough to know. Time to retrain him, hehehe.
We did have a minor setback with Little Miss's potty training, she has been completely potty trained for about 2 months then about a week after Hubs came home she just started having accidents for 2 days. But now things are back to normal as far as that goes.
We have been just hanging out at home, taking care of stuff around here. Hubs is on 3 section duty, which means he goes into work once every 3 days for his overnight. Its actually a pretty good thing, this gives me a day to run errands and clean the house while he is at work. And do laundry...I did not realize how much clothing that man goes through! Plus, he brings home a sea bag full of crap after every duty day it seems (they are moving out of berthing right now in preparation of decom).
Well that's all I got for now, time to go back into hiding!
Okay not really hiding, I will be back to blogging more and slowly adding everything back into my routine. But for now, I am content keeping the world at arms length :)

Guilty & Worried
As this deployment is coming to an end, I am experiencing a plethora of emotions. Of course I am excited, anxious, and relieved. However there are a few unexpected emotions: Guilt and Worry.
I have made no secret that reintegration from the last deployment was tough for Hubs and I. It didn't really help that we already knew there was another deployment on the horizon so I don't feel we were really able to work on our issues, we just kind of patched them up. This lengthy deployment has really given us the opportunity to fix things from a distance, but the true test will be once he gets home. Actions speak louder than words folks. Its an uphill climb, but I am very confident we can work through it. At least this time reintegration will be for good, no more deployments for us!
Now for the guilt part. No, I didn't do anything that scandalous! My guilt stems from spending money on myself instead of stashing it into savings. Last deployment, we were able to set aside a good bit of money. But the deployment was totally different. They only made 3 port stops. I had ZERO emergencies. Of course I was able to save money. This deployment was very different: there were 8 port stops and I had 2 car accidents, an emergency trip to Massachusetts, and a few other problems. I am at a point in my life where I am finally comfortable in clothes, I kind of actually love how I look in them. So I bought some clothes...and shoes....and makeup....and hair products...and workout stuff....and now I feel guilty that instead of putting money into savings that I spent money on myself. My closet was filled with clothes that were either too big or were from my college days! I had a very good excuse to update.
Do I think that I went overboard with my spending? To be honest, not really. Granted my closet is packed tight but its not any bigger than most of my friends. I wear all of my clothes, its not like I bought something then never wear it again.
Even though I can explain away why I shouldn't feel this way, I still do. Even though I have nothing to worry about, I am still worried. Even though I have no reason to feel guilty about actually spending money on myself, I still do.
What will make me feel better? When I pick up Hubs from the pier.

Are We There Yet?
Though we are *thisclose* to having Hubs home, we aren't quite finished with this deployment yet. I feel like a kid stuck on a long road trip...
Oh yah, Hubs will once again have pull-in duty so it'll be one more day until we get to see him. I was quite upset at first because he had pull-in duty last deployment. But I decided I wasn't going to let this get me down because ultimately months from now it won't matter, so why should I let it ruin my homecoming? We will just have a more private homecoming the day after the ship pulls in, Hubs has agreed to wear his uniform so we can get pictures too. He will be home and that is all that matters in the end. After all, this is the military life and you really can't plan for anything!
I did something I swore I wasn't going to do: Homecoming Cleaning. For those of you unfamiliar, it is alot like the nesting that near-term preggo mommas go through. Last year, I ended up touch-up painting throughout the house. I also spent a whole night scrubbing the grout in my kitchen with a toothbrush and bleach. I told myself that I wouldn't do any extreme cleaning because it is pointless, Hubs doesn't notice! Well I managed to spend 6 hours cleaning my house. I even scrubbed all the cabinets and the walls in my kitchen. Who does that? But honestly for whatever reason there was food splatter on my kitchen walls. I didn't realize I was that messy of a cook. I would blame Hubs but it would be impossible for him to make such a mess because he doesn't do any of the cooking. HA!
My Homecoming outfit is hanging outside of my closet taunting me. The Homecoming sign is in on it too. There aren't very many chocolate kisses left in the jar from Daddy, now I can't sneak them for myself when Little Miss isn't looking. Here's to hoping the remaining time goes by quickly before I loose my mind or run out of chocolate...

Running to the Deployment Finish Line!
Okay, I've had enough. I am DONE with this deployment. Where do I pick up my husband?
Can I swim there?
How about run? I can totally do that...as long as its not any farther than 13.1 miles...crap.
Nothing in particularly bad has happened this week or lately, I am just tired of it all.
I am tired of solo parenting. I thought having a two year old was bad, but its only getting worse as we approach three. It used to be cute when she told me "No", not so much anymore. I want to be able to take a shower without worrying about what Little Miss is going to get into, Mommy is in the shower time for a makeover! I want to be able to spend time on the laptop without feeling guilty that Little Miss is having to play all by herself, at least if Hubs is home he can keep her entertained while I am starting endlessly at Pinterest. On the up side, I somehow managed to potty train her.
Oops, I just realized I put her to bed without her night time diaper on. Guess I'll be doing MORE laundry tomorrow...
I am tired of changing the cat litter, taking out the garbage, and mowing the lawn. I am ready for the man slave to come home.
I am tired of dealing with it all alone. So much has happened this deployment, its been nearly overwhelming. While Hubs has been there for me as much as he could be, its hard when they are thousands of miles away and in a different time zone. Honestly, I feel like I don't want him to stress out as much as I do so I don't make that big of a deal out of it (to him). How will Hubs being stressed on deployment help out at all? I am just exhausted. No matter how much sleep I get I am just drained by the end of the day. I have alot on my plate and even more on my mind; I am ready to have my husband home to help manage everything.
I am ready to feel attractive again, to feel sexy. I have been working my ass off and I'm ready to have someone "appreciate it". I could expound on this even more, but I'll keep it classy folks. You all know where this is going...
So from here on out, I am jam-packing my schedule in the hopes that time will fly by even faster. Festivals for the next 3 weekends full of screaming kids? You betcha. Coming up with sewing projects just because? Definitely. Working out both at the gym AND running around the neighborhood? Damn right.
Who knows, I may get so tired of waiting for Homecoming that I may have to run to get my sailor...better train hard.

Unintentional To-Do List
I am a big fan of "To-Do" lists. On my laptop's home-screen I have two of them: A weekly list and an overall list. I find the lists help keep me on track and it feels really good to take items off the list once they are completed.
"To-Do" lists are especially popular amongst the milispouse community when you s/o is deployed. I learned this last deployment. It seems to help time pass quicker when you are busy! As this final deployment is coming to an end, my list is getting very short. I look back at my list, I am very excited to have been able to accomplish so much. I am proud to say that during both of these deployment I was able to complete my lists each time.
However, this deployment there is another list. This one I refer to as my Unintentional To-Do List. Its not aptly named because its not as if this was some sort of list I was hoping to accomplish, rather its a list of things I accomplished that I didn't set out to do.
This deployment has been a lot harder personally than the last one. Quite a few mishaps and unfortunate life events happened in the last 6 months. Some are serious and some a downright hilarious:
Pulled my right quadricep muscle and was on crutches. I had to stay away from the gym for 4 weeks!
Replaced 10 light bulbs, I guess there was a power surge? We even use those light bulbs that are supposed to last 7 years!
Dealt with grown women spreading lies and attacking me personally, gossiping like teenagers. I am accustomed to the occasional gossip, but this was ridiculous. I had to learn the best way to deal with these irrational people is to ignore them which is much harder than it seems. I desperately wanted to fight back and defend myself, but when you are dealing with unreasonable people it is useless to try and reason with them. I am glad to report that ignoring them truly did work. They may not have totally quit talking about me, but its gone back to a tolerable level. My friends say these gossipers are just jealous. I don't see what they have to be jealous of, I'm a pretty average person. I just don't see how anything I do can be fabulous enough to gossip about.
I have utilized my emergency roadside assistance 6 times in 6 months, mostly to jump start Hubs car. His car stays parked in the garage but I have to move it in order to take out the garbage every week. I've left his car door open a few times too many...
Learned to jump start a car myself as a result.
Dealt with the death of a close family member for the first time, my father-in-law.
I had to send my first Red Cross message. I tell people how to do this all the time, but this was my first time experiencing it first hand.
Learned the procedure for emergency leave. Let me rephrase, I understood the procedure but I believe you don't truly know something until you have lived it. Yes, I was able to see my husband in the midst of a deployment but I would rather Hubs been deployed for a year and his father still be alive than have him come home early because his father died.
Have put over 8,000 miles on my car as a result of emergency family situations across the country. I wish airline tickets weren't so darned expensive.
Took my first solo road trip with Little Miss. We even managed to get into our first car accident in my new car, it wasn't my fault!
Attempted a solo emergency road trip for an emergency custody hearing for my niece, but an hour from home a piece of tire retread was thrown at my windshield at 60mph causing it to shatter. Scariest. Thing. Ever!
So that means my car was in the repair shop twice in a 2 week period. Go ahead and laugh, I do!
Took my first emergency road trip for the emergency custody hearing for my niece with a friend and two 2 year olds. I now HATE tolls and thank the heavens for portable DVD players.
Learned new acronyms like ICPC and DCF. I have seen firsthand how harsh drug addiction can be, how people love the drugs more than they care about the well-being of their own children. Drugs Addiction really does warp someone's mind and their sense of reality.
Learned how to keep my emotions in check. I am generally a very emotional person and will cry at the drop of a hat. I had to my husband's rock when his dad died and I have to be rational & reasonable when it comes to dealing with the on-going situation with my niece (and future niece/nephew).
I have twice potty trained a toddler! I only intended on potty training her once...
I had to say good-bye to a close friend who PTS'd overseas. So now I'm learning how to keep up with a friend that is so far away for so long :(
I had to conquer my fear of spiders to exterminate all of them outside my house. I had one the size of my hand in our back yard that laid 2 huge egg sacs. I was constantly seeing massive spider webs in the front yard. It was so bad I didn't let Little Miss go outside and I was afraid to go out there as well. I had to suck it up and spray down the house *twice* and knock down all the webs. It gives me the creepy crawlies thinking about it!
Through the ups and downs of this deployment, I have discovered who my true friends are. They are the ones that call or text or email to check up on me (and really mean it!), offer to watch Little Miss so I can take care of things, and drop everything to drive me 10 hours to a court hearing. Because of a select group of people, I have not been alone in dealing with anything this deployment. I thought I had already learned who my friends were, but this deployment has reminded me that friendships change over time. Some friendships get stronger while some start to fade away. There are certain people that are meant to be in your life for a long time, while others are only meant to be there for a brief time.
I hope the remaining sliver of this deployment goes by uneventfully. But I have to remind myself that everything in life happens for a reason (or so I believe!). All of the issues that I've endured in the last 6 months is in preparation for what lies ahead in my life.

Oh How I Love a Good Dress...
Tonight we have our adult's halfway party, which means we are on the downhill side of this deployment! I am mostly excited about the cute dress I am wearing tonight, want to see it?
Its
a Jessica Simpson dress I found on sale at TJ Maxx, the pictures show
the dress in the color biscay bay. My dress is a different color called
porcelain rose. Its a pinkish coral color.
Speaking of dresses, now would be a good time to start planning on a homecoming dress!
A few months back I won an amazing dress from eShakti.com, remember this post? I am still keeping my dress a surprise (hehehehe) but I can tell you one thing, its amazing! I chose to have my dress customized to my measurements so I am not exaggerating when I say this dress was made for me.
I just love eShakti's customization feature. When I go shopping for clothes, I always try everything on before I buy. Of course, you can't do that when you shop online. So instead of "guessing" what size will fit me, I chose to have the dress customized to my measurements. Another thing about eShakti's sizing, even if you don't chose the customization they tell you exactly what measurements are for each size! So when you buy a dress from eShakti, you know exactly what you are purchasing.
Did you know that eShakti is having a huge 40% off sale right now? If that isn't a good enough excuse to shop for a dress, top, skirt, or accessories, I am able to offer my readers and ADDITIONAL 10% OFF CODE: SE24SXN! You can use this code on top of the 40% off sale, you can use this code on all regular priced items too. However, this code cannot be used with overstock items.
Here are a few of the goodies available in the 40% off sale:
Who doesn't love a good sale? I am very tempted to buy another dress...or top...or purse...At 40% off and then an additional 10% using the code SE24SXN, it is too good of a deal to pass up!

The Hardest Thing
Some of you may have noticed my absence from blogging lately, I am about to tell you all why. I have been rather tight-lipped about the whole situation until we could figure out how to deal with things. Let's be honest here, some things need to stay private and be dealt with in that manner. Now that we are in the aftermath, I feel it is appropriate to share with everyone.
It all began with a very early morning phone call, 6:27am to be exact. Its funny how you remember such insignificant things as the exact time when bad things happen. I was still mostly asleep and instead of answering, my fingers chose to ignore the call instead. The caller ID showed it was my in-laws calling and that is very out of the ordinary for them to call so early. My mind immediately leapt to the worst case scenario as I was returning the missed call. My worst fears were confirmed: My father-in-law passed away. He went to sleep and just never woke back up. To complicate matters, my in-laws were not at home when this happened, they were staying out of town. I tried to get as much information out of my MIL as possible so I could make the phone calls to the Red Cross and my Ombudsman, but she didn't know much yet because my FIL had not been transported to a funeral home yet (the Red Cross needs confirmation of the event so they contact the funeral home).
I start to think of all the other phone calls and conversations I need to have then my heart literally stops; I realize I will not be the one breaking the news to my husband. He will find out from his Master Chief. I suppose I could have asked for the command to just have my husband call me so I can tell him the news myself, but imagine the situation he will be summoned into: He will be called into his Master Chief's office and told that something has happened so he needs to call his wife. I don't want my husband's mind, for even a moment, to wander and worry about all the possible things that have gone wrong. So having the chain of command break the news to him is for the best.
Then I called my Ombudsman. Even though I am an Ombudsman myself, I didn't want to handle my own personal situation. Being on the other side of the situation, I can really see what a great service Ombudsman do for the families. I was emotional and upset when I made the phone call, I just needed someone to handle this one important thing for me while I handled all the other phone calls that needed to be made. It was such a relief to have someone to contact that could take care of contacting the command for me. Luckily, Hubs was able to call me within an hour (or two, time was blurry at this point) and he was able to begin on the emergency leave paperwork.
When I found out what funeral home the family was using, I called them to let them know I was going to send a Red Cross message because the deceased has a son serving active duty overseas right now. I wanted to give them a heads up so they were prepared for that call. Then I was able to call the Red Cross to send the "official" message to the command.
I didn't tell very many people what was going on, I went Facebook silent for a while. I knew word would get out soon enough because bad news travels fast on the ship, especially when it comes to a sailor getting off the ship for emergency leave. I just wasn't ready for all the questions, especially ones I didn't have answers for.
"When is he coming home?" I don't know.
"When is the funeral?" I don't know.
"When are you leaving? When are you coming back? How long will he be home for?"
You can see how this can be overwhelming when lots of people ask the same questions. I understand why they are asking the questions, but I was emotionally drained and not ready to deal with it all. I was also in disbelief like this was all some sort of bad dream. If I had lost a parent, I would need to be medicated and locked in a little white padded room. I would lose my mind. But that is not how most men work, that is not how Hubs works. Though he has dealt with alot of loss in his life, I was not with him when it happened. I didn't know what version of my husband I would be getting from the airport.
We were very fortunate and my husband was able to be back stateside 2 days after receiving the bad news. I made all the preparations for him coming home, like super cleaning the house. I also lined up people to come by and watch our kitties even though I had no idea when we were leaving town. Picking Hubs up at the airport was full of mixed emotions. I was anxious and nervous. Everytime I started getting excited, I felt guilty because of the circumstances surrounding this homecoming.
Let me make this clear, I would not wish an emergency leave situation on my worst enemy. This is not the homecoming either of us wanted. I would rather Hubs be deployed for over a year than have him come home mid-deployment because his father died.
We drove to Texas to be with the family, it made for a very long car ride both ways. And as always, when one thing goes wrong so do a million others. Our AC went out the same day Hubs came home and it took a week to repair. While we were out of town so we didn't have to deal with the heat, our kitties were here. Thankfully, I have some great friends who came over daily to check on the furry kids and make sure all was okay.
Now comes the hardest part: Saying goodbye again. We dropped Hubs off at the airport last night. Little Miss cried and cried, we tried to prepare her for daddy leaving but it didn't help. Then about an hour after we leave the airport, I get a phone call from Hubs. Yup, nothing ever goes according to plan. There were ground delays and because of that, Hubs wasn't going to make his next flight. On top of that, there weren't any available flights to his destination until Monday. So we went back to the airport and picked up our sailor, again. Boy oh boy, Little Miss is going to be very confused when he leaves again. Goodbye #2 was harder than the first one, I can only imagine how hard #3 is going to be.
I am hoping the rest of our deployment goes by uneventfully. I can only imagine how Hubs feels going back to work and having to deal with the loss of his father. Maybe getting back to the monotony of work will be a welcome distraction.
I guess each day in the military life teaches you new things. Now I know first hand how the military handles emergency situations back home. Now I know how I am supposed to handle an emergency situation. I've known how to handle all of this as an Ombudsman but this time I was on the other side of things.
I was also reminded how fast bad news travels and how wonderful some of my friends truly are. Thanks to everyone who sent texts to check in on us to see if we needed anything or just letting us know you were there for us. Those of you that have felt the need to point out how "lucky" I am to be able to see my husband, there are lots of things I would like to say to you but I am going to simply tell you that I would gladly trade places with you if it means that my father-in-law would still be alive.
Now that this explanation is out of the way, once Hubs is back out to sea I have lots of projects to keep busy. Plus, its summertime! I need to get back to training for the half marathon too. Lots of things to keep me busy for the remainder of this final deployment.

Is it too early to find a Homecoming dress?!
The title says it all folks...we are about 13 weeks into deployment, not even halfway yet, and I am thinking about what I am going to wear for homecoming!
Why am I already planning so far ahead? Well, I won a giveaway over at No Model Lady and its for a free item at eShakti! If you haven't checked out her blog, you are missing out. She is a Marine wife, mother, and she is hilarious! Plus she dresses super cute, I love seeing what outfits she is wearing.
Okay back to my problem: Is it too early for me to find a homecoming dress? Well, since I won this giveaway I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pick out "the dress". I have a photographer this time since it will be our last homecoming. I want to make sure I won't look back at these photos and cringe so the dress must be perfect, okay maybe not perfect but dang near close to it! I am at/near my goal size (if only I could get bigger boobs, HA!) so I'm not worried about the dress not fitting if I get it now. I know the weather may be a factor, but that is what they make cardigans for :)
Here are the possibilities:
Here is the great thing about eShaki: they offer free customization! That means on certain items you can have the length altered, the sleeve type changed, or even change the neckline!
I guess the best thing for me to do is to "sleep on it" and look at all the dresses tomorrow to see which one I really want!
What do you all think? Am I crazy to think about a Homecoming dress so early?

The Admiralty Blue Dress: I would have it customized to knee-length

Go Red Strapless Dress: I would definitely pair this with a belt, I love the coral color

Her Fifties Colorblock Sundress: I am not too sure that I could keep the cream color clean...but I love the top part!

Contrast Trim Knit Maxi: I think I would get it customized to knee length, I love long dresses but Hubs likes to see my legs LOL

Passementarie Trim Poplin Dress: Perhaps with the deep-v neckline, I love this bright color!

Where My Wandering Thoughts Take Me
Tonight my family was invited over to our minister's house for dinner. While dinner was cooking, they took Little Miss and I for a ride on the golf cart around the neighborhood.
While we were carting around the neighborhood and I was looking at all
the houses I was thinking about the "normal" sort of lives the people
that live in those houses have.
To me, this means everyday the mom & dad go to work or maybe one of them stays home, the kids go to school, dinner is prepared, kids come home to do homework, dad comes home and is greeted by a kiss from his wife and hugs from his kids. They eat together around a dinner table and talk about what happened at school, what happened at work. They spend time together as a family, the kids go to bed and the parents steal a few moments for themselves before going to sleep. Then rinse and repeat, every day.
At first, I was envious about their monotonous, dependable routine. How nice it must be to be able to plan for weeks or months ahead. To be able to depend on dad being there to attend school functions, take the kids to soccer practice, take care of household repairs, and take his wife out for an occasional dinner date. Then I thought about how boring that might get, how they must be so used to seeing each other every day that they probably take it all for granted, they probably don't realize how lucky they have it. That is something I won't have to worry about. After these back to back deployments, my husband and I truly know how important and valuable our time together really is. We also know how much of a waste it is to worry about the small stuff. We know how to keep our love alive while we spend months apart.
How many people get the chance to fall in love with their partner all over again? That is one opportunity that these deployments have given me. We have been forced to prove our love for one another without physical touch. Without being able to pick up the phone and instantly be in contact or shoot a quick text. Our time apart could be the excuse for our bond to deteriorate, instead it has only made us grow stronger as a couple. Hubs has proven to me time and time again that he is just as deeply in love with me as I am with him. And he manages to do that through emails and a handful of phone calls. From thousands of miles away, I know he has my back. He is still my shoulder to cry on, though I do miss his arms swallowing me in a hug.
It was startling to realize how different life is here compared to life in a military community like Hampton Roads. If I would have made this cart ride down a neighborhood street in Virginia Beach, chances are those families are going through a deployment or preparing for one. It is also crazy to think that someday soon, we will be civilians. It will be the start of a whole new lifestyle for us. Though I welcome the day Hubs starts to come home every night and have our kids (yup, that means more than one something we need to work on once he gets home...) tackle him as he walks through the door on a daily basis, I know we will never be one of those "normal" families. We have been through so much as a military family and I thank God for all the lessons we have learned so early on to prepare us for whatever lies ahead.
I love my sailor so much and I think about him all the time. Even at seemingly mundane time like a golf cart ride through suburbia, my thoughts always seem to come back to him.

How Do You Say "I Love You"?
With all the emails Hubs and I exchange during deployment, I find that saying "I Love You" gets rather monotonous. While I mean it with all of my heart every time I say it (or type it), I worry that the meaning gets lost when this phrase gets so casually tossed around in today's society.
To change things up, this deployment I am sending Hubs an love quote each day. I feel like at this point, none of my material is original anymore! Poets, authors, and songwriters do such a great job I decided to borrow their words.
“The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected.”
“I love you, not just for now, but for always, and I dream of the day that you’ll take me in your arms again.”
“While I sleep, I dream of you, and when I wake, I long to hold you in
my arms. If anything, our time apart has only made me more certain that I
want to spend my nights by your side, and my days with your heart.”
“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for
more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.
And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you
forever”
“Sometimes you have to be apart from people you love, but that doesn't
make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more.”
Those are a few of my favorites, I believe they are all from Nicholas Sparks. What I have been doing is looking up quotes online and putting them in emails in my Drafts folder so I can simply send one of the each day.
I find it interesting how other people describe love and the things people do to express it. I think it is important to tell the person you love how you feel as often as possible, but also in many different ways. It kind of spices things up! I am also thinking about sending actual love letters to Hubs, I didn't do that last deployment so maybe something to new to surprise him.
What ways do you show someone you care if they are thousands of miles away? I want to hear your ideas!

When Life Hands You Lemons...
I went to the Dr. yesterday to get my leg looked at and he said I have to stay off of it for 2 weeks! Ughh...
To make myself feel better, I decided to make a list of reasons why 2 weeks stuck at home isn't a bad thing:
More potty training!
Perhaps I can get Little Miss to understand the difference between "big girl panties" and diapers. She has no accidents when I let her run around bare bottomed, but as soon as we put on the panties she wets them. Now I have lots of time at home to work on this.
More crafting!
I can make more bows and more wreaths and perhaps make a pillowcase dress for Little Miss. Except today I ran out of hot glue, oops.
I can finally start reading The Hunger Games on my Kindle!
I haven't had the chance to sit down and read them yet, now I have no excuse not to.
I can catch up on trashy reality shows!
Today my TV stayed on Bravo, so I caught up on RHOC, RHATL, and Shahs of Sunset.
Lots of quality time with Little Miss!
The past few days have been rough for her, she realized that Daddy isn't coming home for a long time. Last night on the car ride home from the Dr., she tells me, "Mommy I miss my Daddy.". I turn around to tell her how much Daddy misses her, only to see tears rolling down her little cheeks. It broke my heart to see her crying. I am frustrated because I don't know how to make her understand and I am pretty sure that she is too young to understand time. All I can do is assure her that Daddy loves her and misses her, that he will be home eventually, and show her lots of pictures.
My triceps are going to look awesome after being on crutches for 2 weeks!
I can get really creative with my care packages!
I can get really creative with my care packages!
Time to get my Pinterest on to find out some cool themes for care packages. I wonder if Hubs appreciates them as much as I like making them...
I guess I could cook some more and post a few recipes for you guys, I haven't done that in a while either.
So I am going to try my hardest to focus on the positive here. Its only 2 weeks and it could definitely be worse!
